Hey guys, I'm feeling a little bit better but will still be on hiatus for a bit. Staying away from here has been helping so far and I've been focusing more on refining some art principals of mine [link] so that I can hopefully have a more kick ass gallery in the works conceptually.

For that reason, most of my older art will remain in storage for now, although some of my newer sonic pieces will be shown. And I won't be posting too much beyond the pages pertaining to this practice story.

I decided to show a test comic I've been working on today. This one will be incredibly short and essentially stupid plot wise. The whole purpose of it is to figure out the fastest way to do my inks, colors, and backgrounds while keeping the essence of my main illustrations intact. Because the more detailed pieces in my gallery take much longer than I would like for a comic. But I want to find a nice balance between both worlds. So if you see any morphing in technique, it's just me trying to find myself comic wise. I would prefer to try and get the most major and obvious "I don't know what the fuck I'm doing" morphing out of the way through the tests so that way if I do decide to do an entire comic as initially planned, it will look more consistent with only gradual changes as needed.

Anyways, like I said, this is stupid, but it's a good way to figure out how characters will physically and emotionally interact. And plus, you get to see Sonic and Tails evolve into a more solidified concept since I don't draw them as much but need to. Especially since the first two to three issues are nothing but Sonic, Tails, Antoine, and a few other Mobians that are briefly related to the main plot for now.

ANYWAYS. Sonic fucking with crabs, which… will most likely not end so well. Because Sonic's a tool in the common sense department sometimes.

and I were talking about crabs and I think this crab may show up more often, solely as an inside joke. I like this crab...

I love the style, very realistic and sort of edgy; not sure if that's a good way to describe but I'll stick with edgy because the style is edgy. Sonic looks flipping hawt, and Tails looks so cute and innocent yet more mature than in other pieces I've seen of him X3
