There's a back story to this but I didn't feel like writing it out. :B So have a seemingly random image of a younger Armand and Max admiring one of the natural critters in their territory. Insect type animals are bigger in Knothole thanks to the large trees and their oxygen output.

Armand has a huge fascination with insects and has several sketchbooks detailing them. He especially admires the species in Knothole due variety and because his homeland is more industrial. Max, despite being a nature boy himself, doesn't fancy to most bugs but will still help Armand capture them for studies due to his ability to climb.

On another note -

I was talking to a friend about the visuals and tones of my world and at some point we stared talking about nudity in the whole sonic media and how odd it would be if they were real considering the scenarios.

As a kid I was never really ashamed or taught to be ashamed of exposed sexual dimorphism and genitalia and whenever I saw semi realistic animals or people in American animation who were nude it struck me as odd that the males never really showed or hinted at the readily obvious while females did.

Tone and story wise my world isn't for kids at all. Its themes and feel are closer to: Watership Down, Rats of NIMH, Ghibli Films, Blue Sub #6, Dune, Matrix, Brave New World, Rock & Rule, Maus, Tezuka manga / films, Plague Dogs, and other works; combined with personal experiences.

Due to the more serious tone of this world, it seemed more appropriate to be more literal with anatomy that's drawn realistically elsewhere. Especially since these are mammals we're dealing with; not reptiles, birds, or other cloacal animals. And due to the scenes that do have slight nudity being in a serious setting (think Maus).

Full frontal isn't a constant or a frequent occurrence in my world, and it's only used when necessary or when a scene can't be composed any other way. That is, there's no fan service: :XD: And contrary to my initial plan for Mobian culture (this now applies more to Gremlins) clothing is far more regular and all the main Mobians wear it to some degree although the clothing types are completely cultural in different in that respect.

JUST BECAUSE I KNOW I WOULD GET QUESTIONS.
Had to get that out of the way.

"No fan-service?!" :stare: DAMN... There goes the hope that a sudden rainstorm would cause Max to take comfort in Armand's manly arms while his white shirt clings to his body. :bored: Oh well, we can't have everything we want.

...No homo, bro. No homo. =p

:XD: That reminds me of this very inappropriate and non canon (to any universe) sketch I did of Antoine and Geoffrey due to some guy thinking they were in a relationship... based on a size chart.... with no physical or visual contact of any sort.... yup.

i absolutely love the feel of your art , the anatomy is wonderful, it's well thought out and just over all great. all in all i wouldn't worry about what others think about the nudity, there will always be people that are a little iffy about the whole male/animalistic/nudity or any nudity at all , i have to agree though i was always confused as in why female roles in most movies, games, comics, stories, ect are like
"OH I NEED TO SHOW MY BREAST? OK!" but when it comes to the male it's almost like it forbidden haha , i mean...i don't think it's anything anyone should be embarrassed or ashamed of. BUT before i ramble on i'd like to say thank you for the amazing art you post and never stop what you do :) it's people like you i look up to .

"MY TITS MUST BE SEEN." :XD: Is pretty much the vibe I got from American works. Although the Japanese are bit more fair in terms of exploiting both men and women, and hey, I'm all for equal exploitation. :D There's nothing wrong with being sexual in works, but it's just often women or there's no variety in the types of sexuality. A good example of this is the hawkeye project on tumblr. It's pretty nifty if you've not seen in already.

Okay, honey, first you're just not watching enough professional wrestling... :evileye:

Second, not every guy has the chest for it. Though, man-boobs exist... they're not very appealing. For anyone.

...Well, maybe chubby-chasers. ^^;

actually i do watch a little wrestling, but what i was talking about wasn't necessarily having to do with wrestling. i know some things do show male upper body and such BUT I'M TALKING FULLY BODY not just chest, and i'm talking about all means of public entertainment (obviously targeting an older age group considering we are talking about nudity ). i was saying breast's on a woman SPECIFICALLY because that's usually the appeal in the public eye. (yes, i know not everyone is attracted to breasts, which in a way proves what i'm trying to say )
i hope you understand what i'm shooting at.
(also please don't call me honey...no offence)
